But on Monday morning, the U.K.’s long bear market quietly came to a close, as the benchmark FTSE-100 index UKX, +0.02% crawled up to 6,943, overtaking the previous all-time high set all the way back on Dec. 31, 1999. After 15 years, the UK stock market was finally back in positive territory.
